FNW traces its roots to Familian Northwest, established in Portland, Oregon in 1969. In the late '70s, some industrious sales associates, responding to a demand from the pulp and paper industry, developed the first all-cast stainless steel knife gate valve in the country. The FNW brand was established in 1979, on the foundation of that valve product.

Since these beginnings, customer demand required that FNW expand into other products such as ball, butterfly, gate, globe and check valves. Even today, we continue to add additional products to our offering such as flexible connectors, gauges and hangers. FNW is made to expected industry standards. We continually inspect and test our products to insure customers are provided with superior products that add value to any project.
